Wexco provides its airline principals with an all-embracing cargo marketing and revenue collection function, replacing the carrier’s fixed overhead of an in-house cargo function with a variable cost which is related wentireley to revenue produced.

Wexco provides online and value added services to the freight forwarding industry.  Wexco aims to provide a "one-stop-shop" solution specifically orientated to the freight forwarding industry sector.

Wexco is not an airfreight forwarder, and its only dealing with commercial houses are when handling inquiries on behalf of the airlines it represents. Wexco can therefore offer its airline principal and their agent customers the reassurance of a totally neutral service from a non-competitive operator.

Appointing Wexco as Australian and New Zealand Cargo sales agent will mean much more than the recruitment of a sales force. 

From the very outset, Wexco works closely with its airlines to create a cargo product which is in tune with the requirements of Australian airfreight market, providing maximum revenue and yield. 


Better Service = Better Yields
 

The depressed airfreight rates in recent years stems largely from an over-concentration by many carriers on price as a selling point; few have attempted to substantiate a price differential by supplying value added services. The agents have exploited carriers competing with each other on rates. 

Wexco works with carriers to optimise your yields (particularly on discount traffic) by presenting our airlines as the quality option. This will make the success of your competitors far more difficult. 

Some of our services include: 

  • provision of post-flight advice to all agents

  • Wexco controls on transit traffic, plus flight advice to agents

  • computer links between Wexco GSA computer system and your offices, enabling your staff to deal instantaneously with any shipment status enquiries

  • monitoring of handling agent performance

Beyond the Expected 

Wexco looks beyond the expected and works with carriers to identify opportunities to generate new revenue and profit growth. 

Areas which Wexco explores with its carriers include:

  • development of your primary hub’s potential as a transhipment centre for cargoes to and from Australia and New Zealand

  • interline opportunities for both off-line and on-line carriers leveraging our current airline relationships

  • the establishment of target programmes eg. dense traffic, door-to-door express traffic, slack-season promotions, quality assurance incentives etc.

The overall effect of working with Wexco will be to enhance the revenue contribution which the Australian cargo product generates for you.
