Wexco provides its airline principals with an all-embracing cargo marketing and revenue collection function, replacing the carrier’s fixed overhead of an in-house cargo function with a variable cost which is related wentireley to revenue produced.

Wexco provides online and value added services to the freight forwarding industry.  Wexco aims to provide a "one-stop-shop" solution specifically orientated to the freight forwarding industry sector.

Wexco is not an airfreight forwarder, and its only dealing with commercial houses are when handling inquiries on behalf of the airlines it represents. Wexco can therefore offer its airline principal and their agent customers the reassurance of a totally neutral service from a non-competitive operator.

 Sales and Promotion

The most important of all of the many responsibilities of your Australian cargo general sales agent will be the SELLING AND PROMOTION of your services. 

Using Wexco to represent your cargo product will mean managing costs, not cutting corners. Wexco's ability to share the resources necessary for really effective representation among its carrier principals means they are utilised at optimum efficiency and the resultant economies of scale will be passed back to you in reduced overall costs. 

Wexco can justify, because of economies of scale, the implementation of comprehensive and effective marketing programs on a scale which an individual off-line carrier might choose to forego on a stand-alone basis, because of the costs involved. These programs include all the key elements which experience has shown to be vital in the dynamic promotion of airline cargo services to the forwarding agency sector. 

The main component parts of the Wexco Sales and Marketing activity will be:

  • Tariffs - distributed to all CASS (Cargo Accounting Settlement System) and CASS Associated Australian agents at every rate change, and regularly in the intervening periods in order to refresh awareness of your services

  • Sales visits - these will be made by Wexco Directors and dedicated sales staff. In order to promote a better working relationship with the agent community and to instill in all Wexco staff that essential appreciation for the importance of service, our operational staff also meets regularly with the agent customers

  • Telesales - this has been shown to be highly productive and cost effective in generating extra traffic for Wexco's principals. It will be a continuous function in promoting your services. 

  • Advertising - Wexco will maintain a regular presence in key directories and relevant press in support of its other sales activities on your behalf. All such advertising will be conducted in your identity and all design work will be in line with you airline's corporate style and submitted for approval prior to placement

  • PR - Wexco will constantly monitor all titles serving the Australian airfreight sector for forthcoming features relevant to your activities. Material will be submitted on the airline's behalf in an endeavour to obtain press coverage whenever possible. 

Unlike many general sales agencies, Wexco at all times promotes the identities of its principals. This creates for you the appearance of an in-house cargo function.
