  About Us

Wexco provides its airline principals with an all-embracing cargo marketing and revenue collection function, replacing the carrier’s fixed overhead of an in-house cargo function with a variable cost which is related wentireley to revenue produced.

Wexco provides online and value added services to the freight forwarding industry.  Wexco aims to provide a "one-stop-shop" solution specifically orientated to the freight forwarding industry sector.

Wexco is not an airfreight forwarder, and its only dealing with commercial houses are when handling inquiries on behalf of the airlines it represents. Wexco can therefore offer its airline principal and their agent customers the reassurance of a totally neutral service from a non-competitive operator.

Communications

Wexco is well versed in the SITA communications system and, if appointed as your general sales agent, anticipates being assigned your on-line computer and a SITA code.

Computer System

At the heart of Wexco’s general sales agency operations is its computer system.

Wexco’s GSA system speeds administration duties and increases the company’s productivity, freeing valuable management and staff time to provide a higher standard of service which will inevitably reflect favourably on its partner.

The Wexco GSA system will:

establish each booking and automatically post updates to all sectors of the system
handle all accounting functions including rate input, invoicing, generation of carrier settlement report and audit reports
provide rapid access to comprehensive and constantly updated information, which can be provided in report form to give accurate information on such matters as tonnage, yields, sales to each agent by revenue and tonnage etc.
contribute to the overall accuracy and presentation of all documentation
restrict access by means of password, to prevent data corruption by accidental use of high level facilities by unauthorized staff
regularly back-up data externally to protect against machine or media failure, and allow use of secondary system in emergencies
provide for system reconfiguration to by-pass partial failures and return on-line with minimal delay
keep current three months previous data live on system at all times. Prior data is backed-up on a hard copy and disk for immediate restoring at any time.
Telecommunications

In addition to its public system telephone, Wexco is also linked to the Internet, utilizing our email address quite efficiently. We also use SITA and we are currently working on a new Windows software system to work in with the electronic highway to quicken our ability to respond to our customer’s needs.
